LUCAS LEAP

On Wednesday the 15th of May members of the Lucas LEAP leadership team joined over 150 early childhood education and care professionals from across Victoria at the Early Learning Association of Australia’s (ELAA) THRIVE conference. The theme for this year’s conference was THRIVE: Inspiring Sustained Excellence in Early Childhood Education and Care. 

We gained valuable insights from the Department of Education and Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) into the National Quality Framework and the policies that guide our practice. The team learnt about the importance of inclusive practice, the use of resources to support sustainable improvements and ways of creating supportive and engaging work environments to retain skilled educators all the while hearing from inspirational ELLA member services who have achieved the NQS ‘Exceeding’ or ‘Excellent’ rating. 

It was a wonderful day of insightful discussions, presentations and networking and we look forward to implementing some of the practices we discussed at Lucas LEAP.
