Principal's Report

Year 9 and 10 examinations have now concluded, and all students have commenced Semester 2. This presents a wonderful opportunity for students to reset, refocus and embrace new subjects and areas of study with a fresh perspective. I encourage all students to make the most of this new beginning and approach the semester with enthusiasm and determination.
Thank you to all families who completed the McCrindle survey. We anticipate receiving the final report by the end of August, and the valuable feedback provided will help inform the strategic direction of the College. We look forward to sharing further information and next steps with our community once the report has been received and reviewed.
Yesterday, I had the great pleasure of accompanying our Hands on Learning class on an excursion. We travelled to Rochester to view the impressive silo artwork before heading to Elmore for lunch. The day served as a reminder of the joy that can be found in life's simple moments and reinforced the importance of belonging, inclusion, and connection within our school community. A sincere thank you to the students for representing the College so well, and to Mrs Mahoney and Mrs Ferris for their support and organisation of the day.
On Thursday, our Year 12 students participated in their second Retreat Day. These experiences provide valuable opportunities for students to reflect, pause and consider some of life's important questions as they prepare for the next stage of their journey. Their keynote speaker, Sam Clear, shared messages centred on love, purpose, and living with intention. His theme of 'courageous hope' is both timely and inspiring, reminding us all of the importance of optimism, resilience, and meaningful goals.
With only two weeks remaining in the term, I encourage all students to remain focused and committed to their learning as we work towards a successful conclusion to the semester before a well-deserved winter break.
