Cathedral Concert

This Thursday evening, our college Choirs and String Ensembles will perform at the annual Cathedral Concert, offering a unique opportunity for these ensembles to perform in the stunning acoustics of St Stephen’s Cathedral. 

 

Ensembles involved: Marist Voices, Performance Choir, Chamber Choir, String Ensemble, Senior Strings and Chamber Strings. 

 

Time: 6:30pm (6:00pm Arrival)

Venue: The Cathedral of St Stephen

Uniform: Black Performance Uniform

Winds and Percussion Concert

Next Thursday evening, Wind Orchestra 1 & 2, Wind Ensemble, and Percussion Ensembles 1 & 2 will present a diverse program of musical genres. 

Date: Thursday 28th May

Time: 6:30pm (6pm Arrival)

Venue: Draney Theatre

Uniform: Black Performance Uniform

Please note, a photo session is scheduled for Wednesday 27th May at Break 1 in the Draney Theatre for the following ensembles: Big Band 2, Big Band 3, Wind Orchestra 2, Wind Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble 2.

 

Students involved are reminded to bring their instrument and black performance uniform to school on this day. 

QLD Confraternity Carnival Mass

This year, Marist College Ashgrove will be hosting the Queensland Confraternity Carnival in the June-July school holidays. This is a significant event for the entire College community.

 

There will be a Welcome Mass at 3:00pm, Sunday 28th June on Br Francis McMahon Oval for more than 2,500 people. We are currently collecting RSVPs to assist with our planning of such a significant event.  Ensembles involved are Big Band 1 and Liturgy Choir. Please access Parent Lounge to complete RSVPs for students in these two ensembles. 

 

School of Rock - Set Decoration

Students are invited to help create the sets for this year’s school musical- School of Rock. No art or building skills are required — just a willingness to help out. This is a great way to be involved in the production without performing on stage.

 

When: Tuesdays, 3:30-4:30pm

Where: Art Rooms

Who: All students welcome

 

Come along and be part of the team bringing the musical together.
