Step Into the Future of Construction!

Construction Skills Queensland – Virtual Reality Construction Site Experience

 

Exciting things are happening in our Year 10 Construction classes next week! On Tuesday, students will have the opportunity to step onto a construction site—without ever leaving the classroom—through the Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) Virtual Reality Construction Site Experience.

 

Using cutting-edge VR technology, this immersive experience allows students to explore a real-world construction environment in a safe and engaging way. From navigating active sites to observing industry practices, students will gain valuable insight into the many career pathways available in the construction industry.

 

What Students Will Experience

  • Walk through a simulated construction site in virtual reality
  • Identify tools, equipment, and safety features
  • Explore different trades and roles within the industry
  • Understand the importance of workplace health and safety
  • Engage with real-world scenarios in a highly interactive format

 

VR Experience Overview

  • 🕶️ 10 VR headsets available per session
  • ⏱️ 45–60 minute sessions designed to fit within class timetables
  • 🏫 Delivered directly in the classroom, with up to three sessions per day
  • 🎯 Ideal for Years 9–12, with flexibility for other year levels
  • 👥 Up to 30 students per day, with 10 students participating in each session

 

This hands-on opportunity is designed to bring classroom learning to life and inspire students to consider future careers in the construction sector—one of Queensland’s most dynamic and in-demand industries.

 

Open to All at Subject Selection Evening!

 

Can’t make it during class time? No problem!

 

The VR Construction Experience will also be available during the Subject Selection Evening, giving all students and families the chance to try it out. Whether you're considering Construction as a subject or simply curious about the industry, we encourage you to come along and have a go.
