Week 2

We’ve had another exciting and engaging week at OSHClub, filled with a great mix of delicious food, hands-on learning, creativity, and active play!

Our mornings started off warm and energised with a variety of tasty options including waffles, pancakes, honey porridge oats, breakfast chocolate muffins, and hot chocolate. It’s been wonderful to see children enjoying a positive start to their day together. Afternoons were just as enjoyable, with children refueling on tacos, red sauce pasta spirals, homemade spinach and ricotta scrolls, popcorn with some fun new flavour combinations, and a delicious cracker and dip platter.

In celebration and remembrance of ANZAC Day, children took part in baking traditional ANZAC biscuits. This activity provided a great opportunity to connect with history while developing cooking skills and teamwork. Our STEM sessions were full of curiosity and discovery! Children made their own playdough from scratch, explored a volcano experiment, and had lots of fun creating and playing with water beads. These activities encouraged experimentation, problem-solving, and sensory exploration.

Creativity was on full display this week! Children enjoyed fluffy 3D painting, designing DIY keychains for their school bags, folding origami animals, participating in colouring competitions, playing Scatergories, and even creating their own OSHClub money notes, showcasing imagination and originality. We stayed active with a range of group games and outdoor fun, including octopus, sandpit creations, senior playground tag, junior playground hide and seek, and Gaga ball. These activities supported teamwork, movement, and social connection among peers.

It’s been fantastic to see such enthusiasm and engagement from all the children throughout the week. We look forward to another fun-filled week ahead!

Mother's Day Treasure Trades

We warmly invite our families to join in a special Treasure Traders Mother’s Day activity! Children can bring along a small, meaningful item from home (something they’re happy to trade), share its story, and swap it for a new treasure to take home. Please help your child choose their item and complete the Treasure Story Card (below or in service) beforehand. It’s a simple and fun way to encourage creativity and connection; and our service could win a $1,000 voucher to go towards new resources and experiences for the children! 💜

Bookings

Online bookings for Rise then Shine and Stay and Play sessions close 24 hours in advance. Online bookings for the Holiday Program and Curriculum Days close 5 days in advance.

If online bookings have closed, and you would like to make or cancel a booking, please SMS the program phone on 0427 144 945.

Cancellation of Bookings

IMPORTANT: If your child is booked in for an afternoon Stay and Play session and that booking is no longer required, please cancel the booking on the iParent Portal. If you are cancelling on the day, please contact us on the program phone before 3:25pm to avoid a non-notified absence fee of $20.00 per child.

We are responsible for all children booked into our care. If a child does not arrive after school care when booked in to attend, we will need to confirm the whereabouts of the child by contacting parents/guardians and emergency contacts. If we cannot successfully do this, it then becomes a missing child incident.

As you can imagine, this can be very stressful!

Thanks for your cooperation by notifying us of any Stay and Play absences.
