Intermediate Music Camp

On Mon 3rd and Tues 4th November both the Intermediate Band and Intermediate Jazz Ensemble attended a music camp at Airey’s Inlet. Despite the very rainy weather, students still had fun rehearsing, singing karaoke, playing musical charades and trying out the rock-climbing wall, zipline, archery and giant swing. To conclude the camp, we hosted a BBQ and concert for families. Thanks to all the parents who jumped in to help us out with the BBQ and well done to all the students. They all co-operated and participated really well over the two days. A big thanks to Ms Humphrey, Ms Moffatt and Mrs Linton who attended the camp and helped to make it fun.

Ensemble Evening

On Thursday 6th November, we held our annual Ensemble Evening in the PAC. For the first time ever, we ran a ‘Fringe’ performance before the event, that featured Chopped Band and the brass ensemble performing on the PAC balcony. This created a great atmosphere as people arrived for the event. The ensembles were many and varied and all performed very well on the night. Thanks to all the instrumental music teachers: Rose Humphrey, Emma Moffatt, Janice Wilding, Conrad Nilsson and Amanda Linton for preparing and supporting their students so well.

Remembrance Day

On Tuesday 11th November, Ms Moffatt took a group of Year 10 students to GMHBA Stadium to represent our school at a Remembrance Day Ceremony. Thanks to Rabhin O’Keife, Poppy Butler, Emily Flynn and Ardy Penny-Ryan for representing the school at this event. Meanwhile, back at BHS, Oscar Wood from Year 10 performed the Last Post for our school Remembrance Day ceremony. Well done to all the students who were involved.
