Student Excellence
Poppy Nivarovich
This time around, Belmont High would like to celebrate the outstanding achievements of Poppy Nivarovich, who has continued to shine on the athletics track with a pair of remarkable performances.
At the recent School Sport Victoria Track and Field Championships, Poppy secured 2nd place in the 1500 metres during Weekend 1, followed by another impressive 2nd place in the 5000 metres on Weekend 2.
These results cap off a brilliant chapter in her running career, as Poppy officially wraps up her time representing Belmont High School on the track. Her consistency, endurance, and determination have made her a standout athlete and a fantastic role model for younger students.
We congratulate Poppy on her dedication and success, and wish her all the best in the future.
Liv Meaney
BHS also wanted to recognise the efforts of Liv Meaney, who recently made her international gymnastics debut representing Australia in France and Belgium, an amazing achievement. At Combs La Ville in France, Liv competed in the Tournoi International event against some of the world’s leading junior gymnasts, achieving an impressive 20th place All Around, ranking Top 10 in her age group, and finishing 4th on Vault. Liv then travelled to Belgium, where she competed at the Gymnova Cup and continued her outstanding form, finishing 8th All Around and qualifying for the apparatus finals on floor and vault, placing 4th on Floor and 5th on Vault.
Across both competitions Liv proudly representing her country on the international stage. Congratulations on such a sensational series of results and magnificent start to your international gymnastics career. Well done.
