Are you a school leaver or university student looking to kickstart your career in government while studying? The Treasury is now recruiting for its Cadet Program – a youth employment initiative designed to support students as they begin their professional journey.

• Paid time off to attend lectures, tutorials, and exams
• Part-time study support for your undergraduate degree
• Annual rotations across diverse work areas
• Exposure to public policy, economics, financial management, and regulatory issues

Applications are now open | 2026 National Summer Art Scholarship

Are you passionate about visual arts? Applications are now open for the 2026 National Summer Art Scholarship (NSAS) – a transformative program that has inspired young artists and art workers for over 25 years.

Over 12 months, 16 students from across Australia will:

Take part in monthly online learning sessions

Connect with artists and arts professionals to explore creative career pathways

Attend a week-long residency at the National Gallery in Kamberri/Canberra

Eligibility: Australian residents in Year 10 or equivalent, in 2025.

Successful applicants will complete the program alongside their Year 11 studies in 2026. Two students will be selected from each state and territory.
