Celebrating Excellence in Indonesian
Asha Nasrun Honoured at the Indonesian Consulate General
On Saturday, Asha Nasrun had the honour of being invited to the Indonesian Consulate General in Melbourne in recognition of her outstanding achievement in Indonesian. This special occasion brought together high‑performing students from across Victoria to celebrate their dedication and passion for Indonesian language learning.
During the ceremony, Asha was formally presented with an award by the Consul‑General, Bapak Yohannes Jatmiko Heru Prasetyo, acknowledging her distinguished results and commitment to excellence. The presentation highlighted not only her academic success, but also the significant role that language learners play in fostering cross‑cultural understanding.
The event featured a range of cultural and networking activities, allowing students to share their learning experiences, connect with peers, and engage with representatives from the Indonesian community. These interactions reinforced the message that their achievements mark just the beginning of a meaningful journey.
The Consul‑General emphasised that students like Asha are embarking on their pathway as young ambassadors, contributing to a stronger and more vibrant relationship between Australia and Indonesia. Their language skills and cultural knowledge place them at the heart of future collaboration, diplomacy, and international engagement.
We extend our warmest congratulations to Asha on this accomplishment. Her dedication to Indonesian studies is an inspiration to our school community, and we look forward to seeing where her passion for language and culture will take her next.
