Thank you to the parents and families for taking the time out of your busy schedules to join us for Meet the Teachers. It was important to check-in and put face to a name.

Our Student Progress Interviews will be an opportunity for all families to meet with classroom teachers. Thursday March 26 will be a student-free day to facilitate these meetings. For families not able to attend the face-to-face interviews, we will be offering the online interviews again this year on Wednesday March 18 between 4:00pm and 7:00pm. Whether face-to-face or online, we encourage students to attend with families to discuss their progress. Bookings for these interviews will be advised shortly through the Compass notifications.

Year 7s are smashing it at year level sport. The future tennis stars in the making caused a real racquet on court and had a great time having a hit with their fellow classmates. They showed true love for the game. It is wonderful to see so many of our young people getting involved different opportunities across the school. Clubs and extracurricular activities are an excellent way to meet new people across the school. Please encourage your young person to get involved and have a look at when all the clubs are running by checking out the list in the upper 100s.

Last week our Year 7s met their Year 10 buddy. All year 7s were assigned a Year 10 buddy who they met in their Involve lesson. We will continue to provide opportunities for the buddies to meet over the year and look forward to watching these connections grow from having positive role models talk to our 7s.

NAPLAN will be happening for our Year 7s in Week 7. Please see the Compass Dashboard for more information about the testing schedule.

It’s a great idea to start checking in with your young person regarding when work is due. Encouraging use of the student planner and checking Learning Tasks on Compass can help your young person to stay organised during the busy weeks ahead.
