We are pleased to share that the playground upgrade works are nearing completion. Playground 4 is expected to be available for use within the next week and a half, with Playground 3 anticipated to reopen around the same time.
Recent wet weather has caused some minor delays, particularly with the placement of the sand, which requires dry conditions to be completed safely and effectively.
Once the sand installation is finalised, the project will move into the final stage, which includes a defects inspection and addressing any minor items that may require attention.
We appreciate everyone’s patience while these important capital works are completed, and we look forward to students enjoying the newly improved play spaces very soon.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Hayden O’Doherty, who organised a generous donation for our school through the Hands-On Learning network in Northern Melbourne.
The donation, provided by Frank Wild Event Management, included a pallet of materials that will support practical learning experiences for our students. In collaboration with Mill Park Secondary College and Craigieburn Secondary College, we were able to collect these materials and bring them to Jacana School for Autism.
We are very grateful for this contribution and look forward to using these resources with our students in the near future.
