Athletics Carnival Success
Our annual Athletics Carnival was a fantastic day filled with teamwork, determination, sportsmanship, and outstanding individual performances. Congratulations to all students who participated and gave their best effort throughout the day. It was wonderful to see students encouraging one another and proudly representing their house teams.
A special congratulations to our Age Champions and Encouragement Award recipients, whose achievements were recognised at our recent assembly. These students demonstrated exceptional athletic ability, perseverance, and commitment throughout the carnival. We are incredibly proud of their efforts and accomplishments.
Congratulations to all Loreto students for their efforts throughout the day. Especially their House Captains – Lewis Hargreaves and Layla Bailey for showing excellent leadership throughout the carnival.
We would also like to congratulate all students who have been selected to represent our school at the Divisional Athletics Championships. These students have been notified and have had a meeting at school to discuss which events they will participate in.
This event will be held on Friday 9th October in Wangaratta, during the first week of Term 4. Students competing are required to arrive at school prior to the 8:00am bus departure.
Students selected in the Divisional team will be provided with an SHPS Representative Top to wear on the day. To assist with their preparation, students competing in field events are welcome to borrow a discus or shot put from school to practise with at home before the event over the holidays.

At Sacred Heart, we encourage all families to help create a positive and supportive sporting environment for our students. School sport is an opportunity for children to build confidence, develop skills, experience teamwork and most importantly, have fun. We ask that all spectators model respectful and encouraging behaviour by celebrating effort, showing good sportsmanship and supporting all students, officials and staff. By working together, we can ensure school sport remains an inclusive and enjoyable experience for everyone involved
