💛 RUOK? Day at SH 💛

RUOK? Day was a very special day at SH as we came together to focus on something that matters deeply to us — looking out for one another.

This year, rather than holding our traditional Family Breakfast, our staff began the day together with a quiet cuppa and a chance to check in with one another before welcoming our students. Throughout the day, our teachers and support staff placed an even greater focus on RUOK? activities, conversations and learning across classrooms.

Our students participated in activities designed to build awareness, connection, empathy and the confidence to ask, “Are you OK?” — and to understand that sometimes the most important thing we can do is simply stop, listen and be there for someone.

There were plenty of smiles along the way too!

Mr O'Dwyer and Mrs Ramsdale supported our staff's wellbeing and organised a beautiful morning tea , with delicious treats provided by Elise in the canteen. 

While the format of RUOK? Day looked a little different this year, the heart of the day was bigger than ever.

RUOK? Day this year was a wonderful reflection of what SH is about.

Our values remain the same.

Our commitment to our students remains the same.

Our calm, respectful and supportive classrooms remain the same.

And the teaching practices that have helped our students achieve such excellent NAPLAN results remain firmly in place.

Behind the scenes, our staff continue to work incredibly hard to protect and maintain the positive school culture that has been built over many years. We are proud of our school, proud of our students and proud of the relationships that exist across our school community.
