Year 12 Health and Wellbeing Expo
Held on Tuesday last week, Year 12 Health and Wellbeing students made age-appropriate presentations and activities for Middle Years students to learn more about health topics, with the aim to positively change their health behaviours. As a part of their Year 12 assessment, students have been exploring how effective health promotion campaigns work to change and influence health mindsets and behaviours in a positive way. Middle Years students engaged in interactive presentations and activities before filling in surveys for the Year 12 students to reflect on their effectiveness of their presentations.
The range of health and wellbeing topics included:
- nutrition
- reducing sugar intake
- mental health awareness
- health effects of vaping
- respectful relationships
- online safety
- sleep benefits and guidelines
- physical activity health benefits
- sun safety
- safe passenger behaviours and road safety.
It was a great opportunity for meaningful peer learning. Thank you for those teachers who volunteered their middle school classes to visit the Health Expo and well-done Year 12s on great presentations!

Year 12 Excursion to Tindo Solar
Our Year 12 Business Innovation students recently visited Tindo Solar for an engaging behind-the-scenes look at the operations of an Australian solar panel manufacturer.
Students toured the production plant and gained valuable insight into the manufacturing process, workplace operations, and the challenges of operating within the renewable energy industry.
They also had the opportunity to participate in a Q&A session with Tindo Solar owner Glenn Morelli, discussing topics including entrepreneurship, innovation, sustainability, and managing a growing business.
The visit provided students with a valuable connection between their classroom learning and the real-world operations of a successful Australian business.

Year 11 Business Incursion to Melvory
Our Year 11 Business Innovation students were inspired by a visit from Melvory owners Elaine and Kah Wai. Melvory is a South Australian skincare business that creates natural, plant-based skincare products, with a focus on quality ingredients, sustainability and environmentally conscious practices.
Elaine and Kah Wai shared the story behind building Melvory and gave students a fascinating insight into what it takes to turn an idea into a successful business. Students heard about developing products, understanding customer needs, building a brand, responding to challenges and making important decisions as entrepreneurs.
With plenty of practical advice, honest stories and inspiration, the session gave our aspiring young entrepreneurs a valuable glimpse into the realities of running a business and encouraged them to think creatively as they develop their own innovative business ideas to showcasse in the upcoming Business Innovation Week.
