What a Fantastic Few Weeks!

What a fantastic couple of weeks we have had! During Science Week, the students enjoyed participating in a variety of fun and engaging science activities at lunchtime. It was wonderful to see their curiosity and enthusiasm as they explored, experimented and discovered new things.

Last week was Book Week, and the children looked absolutely wonderful in their costumes! On Friday, we enjoyed a whole day celebrating books and reading, including our exciting Book Week Parade and a range of fun activities. It was fantastic to see the students’ creativity and enthusiasm for their favourite books and characters.

In Literacy, we are now more than halfway through our class novel, Restart. The children are thoroughly enjoying the story and have been developing their prediction skills by using clues and evidence from the text to discuss what they think might happen next.

In Mathematics, we have been revisiting addition and subtraction. The students have been exploring a range of strategies to help them understand, remember and apply these processes confidently.

During Social and Emotional Learning, we have been learning about our individual strengths. We will continue exploring these strengths and thinking about how we can use them to contribute positively to our classroom and make our school an even better place.
