On Wednesday the 3rd of September, the 5/6s had an incursion with Hands On Science. We had a lovely instructor named Paige that taught us about physical and chemical formulas and how bases and acids react when combined.
Our highlight was when she showed us how big the elephant toothpaste expands and fizzes, and pouring cabbage water into different liquids, and seeing a range of vivid colours. We really enjoyed being able to do the experiments ourselves and learn how to safely work with different chemicals and watch them react.
The coolest thing about the day was that the students got to do the experiments by themselves. Overall it was a very cool day with many fun experiments. A big shout out to Paige for teaching and showing us experiments we didn't know about
