YEAR 9 KEY INFORMATION: WEEK 2
Subject Information Evening
It was wonderful to see so many of our Year 9 students and their families attend the Subject Information Evening last Wednesday. This event provided a valuable opportunity for students and parents/carers to speak directly with Heads of Department and subject specialists, ask questions, and gather information to support informed subject selections for 2027.
For families who were unable to attend, the 2027 Subject Selection Handbook is available on the College website. An email has also been sent containing informative videos that can be viewed at your convenience. If you have any questions regarding subject selection, please do not hesitate to contact the College.
Attendance
Regular attendance is essential for student success. Being at school each day helps students stay on track with their learning, build positive relationships with their peers and teachers, and feel connected to the College community.
While we understand that there are times when absences are unavoidable, we encourage students to attend school every day wherever possible. Missing just one day of school each fortnight equates to approximately four weeks of lost learning over the course of a year.
If your child requires support to improve their attendance, please contact their Pastoral Mentor, who will be happy to work with you to provide appropriate support.
