Principal`s Message

As we approach the end of a very busy term, I want to acknowledge the tremendous effort shown by our students, staff and families. With the Winter Solstice upon us, it feels like an especially fitting moment to pause, reflect and welcome the gradual return of the light. The solstice offers a gentle reminder to slow down, reconnect and enjoy the quieter rhythm of winter, whether that’s sharing a warm meal, lighting a candle, or settling in with a favourite winter read. As we head into the break, I hope all families find time to rest, recharge and enjoy being together.

A reminder that school will finish at 2.30pm next week, Friday 26th June and we commence Term 3 onMonday 13th July. Please ensure you have made arrangements to collect your child early or have booked them into TheirCare if required. Your support helps us finish the term smoothly and safely.

Semester Reports

Semester reports will be released next Friday and published on Compass. Families will notice that this semester’s reports look a little different. Due to industrial action earlier in the term, teachers were not required to provide written comments. The reports will still provide clear achievement data and progression information, and we encourage families to discuss any questions with their child’s teacher early next term.

Child Safety – DET Commitment

Our school remains fully committed to the Child Safe Standards and to creating an environment where every student feels safe, supported and respected. We uphold the Department of Education’s expectations for child safety, wellbeing and inclusion, and we continue to strengthen our practices to ensure that every child’s voice is heard and valued. If you would like to revisit our policies, you can explore Child Safe Standards on our website.

Just a reminder that school yard supervision starts at 8:45am and finishes at 3:45pm each day. If you require out of hours school care please book your child in through their website.  (See TheirCare page in each newsletter for all information.)

Soccer Pitch Update

Our soccer pitch has now been fully cleaned and refreshed following recent maintenance works. We are pleased to share that it will reopen next week. Thank you to all students for their patience and understanding while the area was temporarily closed we know how popular it is during breaks.

Capital Works – Nearing Completion

We are now in the final stages of our capital works project, and the excitement is building. If all continues to progress as planned, we anticipate beginning the move into our new spaces during the first few weeks of Term 3. This will be a significant milestone for our school community, and we look forward to sharing updates as we get closer.
