Captains Corner

The Captain’s Corner section provides an opportunity for our School Captains to share some information or news about our school, below is a piece from Zavier: 

Hi everyone! 

My name is Zavier and I am your 2026 school captain. I hope that you are settling in well to school in these first few weeks. I am very grateful to have this opportunity to lead our school and will represent Glen Waverley Primary School in the best way possible!

Again, congratulations to the student leaders of 2026! We have no doubt that you will demonstrate responsibility, teamwork and leadership this year.

We are very excited to announce that our new Grade Six area is open for use. Students have loved the new space and is very grateful for it so a big thank you for everyone who helped build it! This will be an amazing addition to our school and will give a new area for students to enjoy. However please be careful on the equipment to be very sure that no injuries will happen. Just a reminder that this area is only for grade 6 and any other grade shouldn't be allowed on it.

Our Grade Six swimming program is coming to an end. We hope that they've learnt much and had lots of fun in the water. 

Next week our Grade Six students will visit ACMI Melbourne. We embrace this opportunity, but more importantly, we embrace the opportunity to learn outside the classroom. We hope you all have a fantastic time!

The weather is still quite warm, so please wear sun smart hats when outside and drink plenty of water for your safety.

For these last couple months of the term let's try to be our best selves. Respect teachers and whole body listening on the floor. Let's play sensibly and take care of our peers.
