Tasmanian Bike Collective Cycle Challenge

SCC students, Caleb Sih and Mimi Verdouw, are participating in the Tasmanian Bike Collective Cycle Challenge this weekend to raise money for the charity.

The team at the Bike Collective work with young people who face additional barriers to education and work. Using bikes as their primary means of connection, they mentor young people, building life and work skills. There are now programs across 3 locations, empowering over 80 kids every week!

KLUFC - Extra players needed (Repeat)

Kingborough Lions United Football Club has some teams that need extra players in both girls and boys teams in the Under 13 and U14 age groups. We also have limited spaces available in some of our Junior (Under 5 to Under 12) teams.

For U13 and U14 teams, training is currently underway so players should start as soon as possible, but we do understand that some summer sports have not yet finished.

Girls train on Tuesday and Friday afternoons. Games are played on Sundays.

Boys train on Monday and Thursday afternoons. Games are played on Saturdays. Girls can play in boys teams.

Term 1 training fees will be waived and we can work out a payment plan if the cost is a barrier for families. We also accept Ticket to Play vouchers.

For U5 to U12 junior players, training is just starting so players have not yet missed out on anything. Training is held on Wednesdays for U5 to U7 players, Tuesdays for all U8 and U9 players as well as U10 boys, and on Thursdays for all U11 and U12 players, plus the U10 girls.

For further information for any of these teams, families can contact Lorna - youth@klufc.org.au
