CHANGES TO AFTER SCHOOL PROCEDURES
SENIOR ADVENTURE PLAYGROUND
As previously advised, due to a number of incidents after school last term, we have reviewed the Senior Playground area and the use of this space after school. This review was completed by the Leadership Team last week.
The current arrangements that were in place prior to the review were:
- No child should be playing on this playground or in this area, if they're waiting to be picked up by their parent(s).
- Children cannot play in this area unless 'their' parent is 'closely' supervising them.
- As part of the contractual arrangements between the school and Camp Australia, our after school care program children also use this area, under the supervision of their Team Leader.
After the Review...
The new arrangements are:
- Children may only play on the Senior Adventure Playground after school when their parent(s) are closely supervising them in this area.
- The Senior Adventure Playground will close at 3.35pm.
- From 3.35pm, this playground is to be used solely by the children attending/being supervised from Camp Australia staff.
The above changes will be written on a new A-frame and be placed out in the Senior Adventure Playground (similar to the Junior Adventure Playground) from Monday 6 May.
DUTIES AFTER SCHOOL
UPDATED INFORMATION
Cotham Rd
- Any child who is unsure of where their parent(s) is picking them up from will now wait inside the school gates, top court area of the school, with the staff member on duty at Cotham Rd.
St John's Parade
- Children waiting to be picked up by their parent(s) at St John's Parade must wait with the teacher at the side gate (within the school boundary).
- Children who are waiting to be picked up from this gate are not allowed to play on the Senior Adventure Playground at any time.
These changes will come into effect from Monday 6 May.
Thanks for your understanding, cooperation and support of these changes.
