SUSTAINABILITY NEWS

Stop press! Some super exciting news to share!

Trinity is excited to announce … we are going Solar! After a thorough investigation, Trinity will be having solar panels installed in December, ready to take advantage of the Summer sunshine!

We will be able to give students hands-on learning experiences, teaching them about renewable energy, environmental stewardship, and the science behind solar power. Real-time monitoring systems will display energy production data, making the system a valuable teaching tool. More details to come in Term 4!

Gardening Club

Spring has sprung in Gardening Club’s flower gardens! Gorgeous paper daisies, sweet smelling lavender and pansies are blooming beautifully while we still wait patiently for our daffodils and bluebells. Our students were very busy in the gardens today as they dug out the beautiful, rich soil our worms have made for us, and topped up our garden beds with it.

We also planted some rainbow coloured silverbeet plants, which will be fun to watch grow. We fed the worms extra food to last them through the holidays and gave the garden an extra big drink of water.

Trinity Trash Transformers

The TTT team collected each class’ collection of cans and bottles today to tally to find the end of term winners. Wow, what an enormous collection our students have made! Well done! Congratulations to 1/2KT who have won, with a huge 336 containers. Please keep collecting for us!

Have a great holiday break everyone! Thanks for your great efforts in helping us live in a way that is kinder to our environment!
