Principal's News

Dear Famlies of Trinity Primary School,

We have done it! Another incredible term has been completed at Trinity and amongst the many highlights was our amazing Artshow which opened on Tuesday after school. Whilst a wide range of learning has taken place throughout the term, in English, Maths and all the other subjects, we all got to see the incredible talent our children have in the Visual Arts area. It was so wonderful to see and hear children proudly explaining their art pieces to proud parents as they wandered through the exhibition. It was, of course, a team effort at Trinity, with teachers and LSOs working together with students on their class pieces and assisting in setting up and displaying the masterpieces. However, it was the vision and hard work of our Visual Arts teacher, Ms Denise, which made this such a special event for our school community.  Her ability to enable children to find their inner artist definitely showed in both the volume and quality of the completed art pieces.

I would also like to say a big thank-you to our parents and families for their involvement throughout the term both at school and at home. For example, in supporting children's home learning, preparing for special days at school and ensuring children are ready for school each day. We have definitely seen an improvement in our children being at school on time each morning and I hope that we can all continue to work hard on this in Term 4. The first few minutes of lessons are often the most crucial and children arriving late each day can find themselves in catch-up mode each morning.

Next term promises to be both busy and exciting with our usual learning programs continuing, school camp for Years 3 to 6, our Parent Trivia Night and of course the usual end of year celebrations, Year 6 Graduation and our end of year Christmas Concert.

I hope that all our families can enjoy some downtime these school holidays without the usual rush of school drop-off and pick-up each day.

Farewell Ms Anna

As many of you are now aware, we will sadly be saying farewell to Ms Anna at the end of this term. Ms Anna has been a big part of the school community at Trinity for almost ten years having taught many year levels as well as Visual Art in her time here at Trinity. For those of you who have had children taught by Ms Anna you will know first hand the incredible dedication and care she shows as a teacher. Her passion for education and providing the best learning environment for not just her own, but all Trinity students will be dearly missed by all of us. I am sure you will all join me in wishing her the very best as she now embarks on a challenging and exciting new part of her teaching career. Ms Anna has accepted a position beginning next term at Giant Steps. 'Giant Steps is a school established to bring world’s best practice in the education and support of children with autism to Australia.'

I would like to invite you all to our end of term assembly tomorrow at 1pm as an opportunity to say farewell to Ms Anna.

We have been fortunate in finding an excellent replacement for Ms Anna and we welcome Ms Kat Rodriguez to join our team at Trinity next term. Kat comes to us with a wealth of experience in education both in the classroom and in leadership and will ensure there is a smooth transition for our prep students and families.

Wishing you all safe and restful school holidays and we look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday 6th October.

Best Wishes Ms O'Connor

On behalf of all of us at Trinity I would like to send our best wishes to Ms O'Connor and her husband Henry. Ms O'Connor will also be finishing at Trinity this week as she begins her maternity leave in preparation for the arrival of her baby.  No doubt there are many exciting and happy days ahead and we look forward to her first visit back to Trinity hopefully some time next term.

Trinity’s Little Library

Thanks to some generous donations, our little Library has been restocked ready for you to enjoy some new reading over the holidays! Have you used the Little Library yet? It is out the front of our school, just to the side of the office. Please come visit and take a book home to enjoy. If you have any spare books to give, please just put them inside. Only children’s books, please.

Enjoy!

Stop press! Some super exciting news to share!

Trinity is excited to announce … we are going Solar! After a thorough investigation, Trinity will be having solar panels installed in December, ready to take advantage of the Summer sunshine!
