Memories from Year 5 camp
– Indie (Year 5 student) and Mr Heath
On Monday of last week, the Year 5’s left for camp for three days, staying at Camp Marysville. Over the next few days, we were lucky to experience a wide range of fun outdoor activities and experiences. The major highlight of the camp was the high ropes, canoeing and bush skills where our teachers got to pour water on our structures to test how waterproof they were, much to their enjoyment.
On the second day we packed a large hiking bag and set off for a hike where we then set up tents for camping. As a group we cooked a big dinner of pasta on the campfire and spent the night toasting marshmallows on the fire. The rain held off just long enough for us to stay dry for our camp under the stars.
Then it was up early on the final day to enjoy a mini-Olympics before making our way back to school after an awesome three days away!
