Premier's Reading Challenge

– Kim Nickells, Assistant Principal

Congratulations to all our students who successfully completed this year’s Premiers’ Reading Challenge. This annual program encourages students to read a set number of books from various categories, including fiction, non-fiction, and picture books. The goal is to promote a love of reading, improve literacy skills, and broaden students’ knowledge across different subjects.

Our students managed to read a total of 664 books throughout the challenge, with some clear favourite authors! Every student who participated completed the challenge and exceeded their reading goals.

We will present the Reading Challenge certificates at an assembly early in Term 4.

Book Week update

Thank you to all families who donated a gold coin during Book Week. Your wonderful fundraising efforts will help gift 46 culturally relevant books to children and families in remote First Nations Communities. This is a wonderful achievement especially at a time when the demand for books that reflect and celebrate First Nations cultures continues to grow.
