Principal's News

Dear Parents/Carers,

Book Week Parade

Today we celebrated Book Week with our much-loved annual parade and activities. While we may not remember every spelling rule or times table from our own school days, we do remember the special moments that stood out. The Book Week parade is one of those days for our children – a chance to dress up, celebrate stories, and create lasting memories.

Thank you to all the parents and friends who joined us for the parade in the courtyard. After the parade, students enjoyed classroom activities based on this year's Children's Book Council Shortlist. A special thank you to Mrs McVilly for all her organisation and preparation in bringing this day together.

Bread Baking Day

Our annual Year 3 Bread Baking Day will take place in the multi-purpose room this Friday.  This is a hands-on activity to help students understand the Sacrament of the Eucharist (First Holy Communion). We hope the teachers and students have a great day learning about the importance of the Last Supper, and how receiving Communion unites them as a church family.

Father’s Day

Join us in the Multi-Purpose Room next Friday, September 4th, at 8:00am for a delicious Father’s Day breakfast. The Lions Club will be firing up the BBQs and cooking sausages, hamburgers and onions, while tea and coffee will be available to keep you fuelled for the morning. While breakfast won’t be available for students, they can enjoy a warm cup of hot chocolate.

Just like our much-loved Mother’s Day celebration, there will be plenty of opportunities to make special memories together. Visit our photo booth to capture a family moment, enjoy some friendly competition with board games, or take the opportunity to visit your child’s classroom.

For those feeling a little more competitive, there will be table tennis in the courtyard, so bring your best backhand! You can also head out to the soccer pitch and have a go at tee-ball.

Come along, relax, have some fun and enjoy a wonderful morning celebrating the special Dads and father figures in our Sacred Heart community.

We would appreciate you letting us know if you are coming by completing the survey in PAM before Friday 28th August.

Kind regards,

Karl Dwyer
