Sport

In P.E, students have continued working on their basketball skills in preparation for Hoop Time.
Junior students have been building foundations of good dribbling, by focusing on using their fingertips and only bouncing the ball at hip height. They have also attempted to extend their skills by looking up while balancing a bean bag on their head.
Senior students have completed various game sense drills, including 3 vs 2 2 vs 1 to practise fast break scenarios, Argentina passing to practise their passing and cutting and completing scrimmages to apply their understanding of the game.
AFL 9’s report
On Friday the 21st of August, Mr Barker and Marnie took a group of 10 excited students to Pedrina Park to play 5 games of AFL 9’s.
A huge effort was given all day, with our students skills growing as each game went on. Dustin, Selene and Coopah were fortunate enough to get a goal on the board. Lucas grew in confidence as the day went on, managing to break a few tackles. Loki, Angel, Zarleah and Kelcey also made heaps of second efforts when their first effort was missed. Evie and James also showed great pressure laying multiple tackles and making sure the opposition couldn’t score too easily.
A big thank you to Mr Kelson from Gray Street for organising the event and the parents and guardians who came to watch.
