Prep 1/2

We were incredibly proud of the younger children last week with the resilience that they showed during swimming week. They enjoyed the week so much but they also worked extremely hard and it was a very physically tiring week for them! They all showed fantastic responsibility on the bus journey and getting changed and looking after their belongings. Well done!

On Tuesday next week we will enjoy some fun activities to celebrate 100 days of Prep. We will be crafting, doing some fun activities and we’ll have some tasty treats! We will share photos of our afternoon with you later in the week. 

The children in Year 1 & 2 are continuing to try and make their writing more detailed and interesting by including adjectives and different types of punctuation in their writing. 

We are reading a text in class that has no words so we have focused our discussions on the illustrations and the meaning we get from them. The children have been able to use good inference skills to share their understanding of the picture book. 

In Maths we have been learning about time and duration by looking at calendar months, the difference in the number of days within certain months and calculating the duration of events by using the calendar effectively.
