On the 18th of May, we invited St. Kilda AFLW to Bunyip Primary school and we were given insight into what it takes to be a professional sports player and how their lives are today. It was a great time and students engaged really well.

Thanks for coming St. Kilda!

Mathematics:

Students have been completing inquiries where they have to find the answer themselves to a problem without being given all the steps, they have to discuss options and come up with then themselves. Our focus has been on Probability. We have looked at dice, clinkers (chocolate), smarties, and real world situations!

English:

Students have been looking at their stage plays and written alternative endings to the plays. 5/6R have written alternatives to "Macbeth" and 5/6H have written alternatives to "Dracula". with our Character profiles nearly complete, roles for the play will be allocated on Friday or early next week!

Humanities:

Students have been completing a unit on Economics and looking at resources. We have discussed real world situations that consider where is it best to allocate limited and finite resources and how do we prioritise this.

Auslan:

Students have reviewed learnt about how to sign sports and activities that they enjoyed. We explored the signs for all our winter sports we are currently playing and practiced signing our names and introducing ourselves.
