Q: What’s your “teaching superpower”?  

 A: The power to build strong relationships with students

 

Q: What do you like most about teaching? 

A: Seeing students have lightbulb moments when something finally clicks and watching their       confidence grow. I love being able to make even a small positive difference in a student’s           day.

 

Q: Which emoji best describes your teaching style or role? 

A: 🌟 - always trying to encourage, support and help students shine.

 

Q: What’s the weirdest thing on your desk or in your pigeon hole right now? 

A: A pile of grey lead pencils I pick up and put in my pocket. 

 

Q: If your class had to play Survivor, who do you think would win? 

A: Billie V (recognises every little detail)

 

Q: What’s a hidden talent students don’t know you have? 

A: Play basketball (and I’m very competitive)

 

Q: What’s your favourite song? 

A: Khe Sanh by Cold Chisel 

 

Q: What’s one thing students do that secretly makes your day? 

A: When they excitedly tell me about something they achieved at home, in OSHC or in the           classroom.

 

Q: If students graded teachers, what would you definitely get an A+ in? 

A: Having a sense of fun in the classroom and in the school community.

A: I am very patient and don't lose my cool very often!

A: Working with students and families to get better outcomes for their children and making a       difference in their lives.

A: A big box of play-dough.

A: I am unfortunately talent-less!

A: When I notice them independently do something that we have been practicing or that I           know was tricky for them.

A: Helping the kids with additional needs to be successful at school.

A: Patience

A: Seeing the enormous growth of students during one year, socially, emotionally and                     academically.

A: Glue sticks without lids AAARGH !

A: Positive Primers every morning in Circle Time and organisation
