MACSSIS surveys
A sincere thanks to to 45 families who took the time to complete the MACSSIS survey at the end of last term. As a staff, we look forward to receiving the data from this survey to inform our future planning for Holy Family.
Swinburne University
Holy Family in partnership with Swinburne Univerisity has once again engaged a Masters of Counselling student to undertake their placement here at Holy Family until the end of the year.
Please read the attached information and complete the consent form if you would like to access this free service. Send this form into the school office once completed. There are limited spots available, so it will be on a first in first served basis.
Howaida will commence at our school on Monday 19th October.
Congratulations!
Congratulations to Logan who was successfully nominated for a scholarship into the Liverpool Football Club as provided by Salesian College. Logan was presented with his uniform and a certificate last Friday by Mark Ashmore, the Princiapl of Salesian College.
Safety issues- car park
A reminder to all parents and carers that the school carpark is for parish and staff use. If you are volunteering in the school, you are welcome to park for the time that you are helping out.
To ensure the safety of our children, staff and community, please adhere to the following expectations when dropping off or picking up your children through our 'Kiss and drop/pick up' routine.
-maintain a 10km speed limit when travelling through the carpark
-no right hand turn into the school carpark from Stephensons Rd from 8am-9:30am and 2:30-4pm
-no right hand turn from the school carpark into Stephensons Rd from 8am-9:30am and 2:30-4pm
-please read the posters below to ensure you are familiar with the routines
The police will issue fines if right hand turns are made during these times.
1/2 Camp Day
I know our 1/2s are looking forward to their camp day tomorrow at Arrabri Lodge East Warburton. The weather looks amazing, and the activities are set. Please remeber hats and sunscreen as it could be quite warm!
A reminder that students need to be at school at 8:30am and will return around 6:30-6:45pm. Please be prompt for pick up.
OnPsych (Psychologist)
Our school psychologist continues at Holy Family.
Dr Alexa Kambouropoulos holds a Ph.D. in Psychology. Alexa is a very passionate and empathicpsychologist who works with both children and adolescents who are experiencing a range of psychological issues such as anxiety and mood disorders, autism spectrum disorders, interpersonal, learning, and behavioural disorders, study/exam stress, and adjustment difficulties (social & situational). Dr Alexa draws on psychological modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, client-centred, play and solution-focused therapy with psycho-education. Dr Alexa firmly believes that a collaborative and parental partnership approach will produce the most successful outcomes for thechild. Given Alexa’s passion is baking and creative crafts, she utilizes these as part of her play therapy inindividual and group sessions. Alexa finds these modalities encourage quieter children to engage in dialogue, develop their confidence and social skills.
Dr Alexa works at our school each Thursday. All you have to do is go to your GP and they will create a Mental Health Plan for your child. The purpose of this plan is so that you can receive this service at no cost.
There are vacancies available for this service. Please collect a form from the office if you would like to access this opportunity for your child..
Prep Transition
We look forward to our Prep transition sessions beginning next Thursday morning followed by our Prep Information night on Wednesday 28th October at 7pm. It has been wonderful getting to know our 'almost Preps' at our Step Into Prep program last term!
Year 6 2027 Jumpers/polos
Information regarding ordering Year 6 2027 jumpers and polo shirts was sent home earlier in the week. There are sample sizes in the admin area to try on before placing orders. Please see details in the flyer attached. Orders close October 30th.

Soft Plastics Recycling pick up
Thank you to all those families who have already volunteered this year to pick up our soft plastics recycling from school and drop off to the Monash Recycling Depot.
