3/4 Mainstream

The Move
WEEK 3 was a huge week at TPS. After a year-and-a-half, the new building was handed over, and we were able to begin the move.
Students helped design the layout of the room and voted on which one we would set up (tables, book corner, resources). We are still adjusting to the new space but have very much enjoyed it so far. Students showed resilience and excitement through the move as well as an ability to problem solve and work together.
A big thanks to all that helped with the move.
Arts Festival
It was brilliant to see so many of the 3/4s at the Arts Festival celebrating the many artistic achievements of TPS students.
They also performed Best Day of My Life - American Authors, beautifully combining instruments such as; guitars, marimba, xylophone. Many thanks to Erica for teaching the students in Music and wrangling so many musical elements into the 3/4 ensemble performance.
Here are some images from the last rehearsal before the festival.
Integrated
Through our integrated learning unit we have been looking at Forces and specifically identifying which types of force create movement and why. We categorised forces as either Contact or Non-Contact forces which have included;
Contact Forces:
- Applied (Push/Pull)
- Friction
- Resistance
- Tension
- Buoyant
Non-Contact Forces:
- Gravity
- Magnetic
