Cross Country
The Senior Learning Community participated in the annual Cross country competition at school on Thursday 8th May. The conditions were ideal for the event and it was fantastic to see so many parents and supporters on the day, encouraging the students.
The Year 5/6’s showed amazing determination and many displayed our Learning Dispositions, especially the resilience of the Orange Bellied Parrot. Resilient people don’t let challenges get in their way. They use strategies to change their thinking and keep trying even when a task seems hard. The teachers were impressed with the students using their positive self talk and their Mind Master thinking.
There were several students who have progressed into the next level for Cross Country. They will be representing St Joseph’s at the District Cross country event at Hastings Foreshore on Thursday 15th May. The whole of the Senior Learning Community would like to wish these students all the best. We know that they will all demonstrate our wonderful St Joseph’s spirit. Good luck! We would also like to congratulate every student that participated for their efforts, well done!
