Supporting Our Year 12 Students as They Plan for the Future

As our Year 12 students approach the end of their school journey, the Careers Team is actively supporting them in preparing for life beyond the classroom. We offer a range of services to assist with their next steps, including:

 

  • VTAC university applications 
  • TAFE research and applications 
  • Work experience opportunities 
  • Job search support and resume writing

 

We are also regularly contacted by local businesses seeking to employ students starting in late 2025 or early 2026. These opportunities are posted on the Senior School Teams page. Recent listings include:

 

  • Radevski Orchard 
  • Watters Electrical Apprenticeships 
  • Tiling opportunities 
  • GV Health Gap Year Program 
  • The Apprenticeship Factory 2026 Traineeships

 

We encourage all Year 12 students to connect with their Neighbourhood Careers Practitioner to explore how we can best support their individual goals and pathways.

 

Partnering with Greater Shepparton City Council 

Greater Shepparton Secondary College has been proudly working alongside Greater Shepparton City Council on a range of exciting initiatives, both in the classroom and through our popular lunchtime Careers Club!

 

The Council has been actively engaging with young people across the region, offering youth-led opportunities, supporting student voice, and helping bring a variety of regular youth events to life. We strongly encourage our students to get involved , it's your chance to help shape the future of our community!

 

Recently, Council representatives visited our Business classes to gather direct feedback from students on what they'd love to see more of in the region. Your ideas are making a real impact and helping to shape events that young people actually want to attend. 🙌
