What is CSEF Funding? 

The Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF) provides payments for eligible students to attend activities such as swimming and school-organised sport programs, outdoor education programs, excursions and incursions.

 

Are you eligible for CSEF (Camps, School, Excursion Fund) 

– to be eligible for CSEF funding you must fit Criteria 1 AND Criteria 2

 

Criteria 1 - Eligibility

To be eligible* for the fund, a parent or legal guardian of a student attending a registered Government or non-government Victorian primary or secondary school must:

  • hold a valid Victorian Health Care Card in your name with your child's name on it you may be entitled to CSEF – (Camps, School, Excursion Fund). CSEF is funding that comes to the school for your child for Camps, Excursions and Sporting Activities. (See sample of card below)

OR 

  • You are a registered Foster Parent of a student attending a registered Government or non-government Victorian primary or secondary

OR 

  • Your child is 16 years or older and holds their own valid Disability Support Pension card and attends a registered Government or non-government Victorian primary or secondary school. (See sample of card below)

Criteria 2 - Be of school age and attend school in Victoria

  • School is compulsory for all Victorian children aged between 6 and 17 years of age inclusive.
  • For the purposes of CSEF, students may be eligible for assistance if they attend a Victorian registered primary or secondary school. Typically, these students are aged between 5 and 18 years inclusive.

The funding for a Primary aged student is $150 and for Secondary aged students is $250.
