Primary / Secondary / Transition

Primary 1 & EEP

This term has been a fantastic start for our Primary One section. Students have been settling in well, establishing routines and getting to know their 2026 teachers and classmates. We have been so proud watching out students demonstrate our school values of care, share, do your best and be safe.

Students have been enjoying daily shared reading sessions, exploring a variety of engaging stories. Some class favourites so far include The Rainbow Fish, We’re Going on a Bear Hunt, and Where Does a Giraffe Go to Bed? During shared reading, students sit together to listen to stories, look closely at the illustrations and participate through actions, sounds and familiar repeated phrases.

During Science sessions, students have been learning about their five senses through hands-on activities and sensory play. They have been discovering what we can hear, see, smell, touch and taste through a range of fun and engaging experiences. Activities have included listening for different sounds, exploring a variety of textures, identifying familiar smells and observing objects using their sense of sight.
