Performing Arts Co-Curricular Program

Mari Eleanor - Performing Arts Coordinator

Here is a taste of what has been going on in the Performing Arts Co-Curricular Program over the past few weeks.

Creative Music in Schools

Our CMS Rock Band is looking for singers! Please check the Seqta notices if your daughter is interested in auditioning. Roberto Salazar teaches singing, piano, guitars, and drum kit. Lessons are available on Tuesdays and the times change so students don't miss the same lesson each week. Information brochures are available from the Performing Arts Office or any Performing Arts teacher.

Drama Club

Students are now selecting the plays they will work on and present in Term 3, so they are very excited.  The performances will take place during a Lunch time, and family/carers are warmly welcome to attend. Watch this space for more information! We thank our Drama Club teachers Mhairi Shepherd, Francesca O'Donnell, and Tracey Fabri with their work with the girls.

Performing Arts Co-Curricular Showcase

This semester's event was held on Thursday 12 June. It was a wonderful celebration of our students' work though the first semester. We heard performances from the Marian College Choir, Play Ukelele!, Lunchtime Concert Band, and the Senior Concert Band, as well as our Creative Music piano and drum kit students. The event was MC'd by our Co-Captains Angel Brown and Jolyne Tran, and we are looking forward to next semester's Showcase already.

Holidays!

It's been a long cold term and we wish all our students and families a happy and restful term break.
