Clean Up Australia Schools Day

On Monday 2nd March Peakhurst Public School students all participated in the Clean Up Australia Schools Day. This is a great way to inspire our students to learn about the impact of litter on their local environment, while playing an active role in the school
Classes were designated areas across the school grounds to pick up litter and see first hand the difference a clean play area can make.
The classes collected 14 bags of rubbish! Well done everyone.
Clean Up Australia, in partnership with Coles, is calling on primary and secondary students across Australia to get creative for a chance to win a $1,000 Coles voucher for their school and have their artwork featured on Coles reusable hessian shopping bags in 2027.
This competition invites students to design artwork inspired by the theme ‘The Future is Clean’ – a powerful opportunity to showcase students’ individual creativity while imagining a cleaner, more sustainable Australia.
