Many thanks to all the parents and carers who made bookings with classroom and specialist teachers last week for our Meet and Greet sessions; the sessions were well attended.

These are important meetings to help teachers better understand your child and for you to gain an understanding about the routines and rituals that will be implemented as part of your child's learning this year.

If you didn’t get a chance to make an appointment with your child’s teachers, we encourage you to reach out and make an appointment or make a call over these next few weeks, or to chat with your child’s teacher.

Year 3 and 5 students have NAPLAN coming up later this term- see the table below for dates and times.

One practical thing that you can do at the moment is to ensure that your child/children has a pair of headphones for NAPLAN compatible with their device, or school device if using the school’s. There are some very affordable options available at all the well-known retail stores, such as those pictured below.

It has been a great start to homework and home reading and it has been terrific to see so many students taking pride in their homework completion and entries in their home reading diaries.

Thank you to the many parents and carers who supported, assisted and encouraged on the homefront to ensure that homework and home reading was completed to such a high standard and rate- we appreciate all your efforts.

The homework coming home at the end of this week is from our specialist teachers, as is our routine for week 5 every term.

A reminder to parents and carers to please speak with your child’s classroom teacher at any stage throughout the year should you have any questions or concerns regarding homework. As mentioned earlier in the term, homework submission records are viewable to parents/carers in your child’s Compass profile under the ‘Learning Tasks’ tab.
