Interschool Sport Division Finals

A big well done to the Year 6 Soccer Team, who proudly represented our school at the Interschool Division Finals. After a series of exciting and hard-fought matches, the team finished in second place—a fantastic achievement!
The players showed great determination, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the day, making our school community very proud.
A special thank you to Mr Calvett for his time, effort, and encouragement in coaching the team. His training and support played a huge part in helping the students reach this wonderful result.
Below is a piece written by Roger about the day.
Year 6 Interschool Soccer Team Shines at Division Finals
On Wednesday 6th August, the Year 6 interschool sports soccer team competed in the Greater Dandenong Division finals. At the start everyone felt very nervous, but our team was ready to give it their all. Our first game was against Minaret College, and we played really well, winning 1-0 after Zac scored a tap-in goal! After a long break to reenergise, we faced Sirius College in the second game, which was the match that would decide who would go to the regional finals.
In the first half, Sirius College scored one goal, and our team was feeling a little down. In the second half we didn’t give up and kept pushing hard. Despite our best efforts, Sirius College scored two more goals. We kept fighting until the final whistle blew. Unfortunately, the game ended 3-0.
Although we lost the second game, we were proud to finish as runners-up. Everyone gave their best effort and showed great sportsmanship. We even received the flag for second place!
Now, we’re excited and looking forward to the Summer Interschool Sports season. Good luck to all the Year 6 teams!
