Prep Dots!
Prep students explored the art of Yayoi Kusama, creating their own dot-inspired artworks. They experimented with a variety of materials, including crayons, pencils, and paint, to fill their paper with vibrant dots, just like Kusama’s famous style.
Grade 1/2 Infinity Nets
Students looked at the work of Yayoi Kusama, focusing on her Infinity Nets to inspire their artwork. They used mixed media techniques to create vibrant fruit bowls and colourful flower arrangements, incorporating patterns and textures to reflect Kusama’s distinctive style.
Grade 3/4 Microorganism Artwork
Students studied Yayoi Kusama’s detailed drawings inspired by microorganisms, particularly amoebas observed under microscopes. They each designed their own unique amoeba-inspired artwork, focusing on neat craftsmanship and using coloured pencils to bring their designs to life.
Grade 5/6 Needle Felting
Grade 5/6 students worked on dry needle felting to create stunning landscapes. Their vibrant and skillfully crafted pieces are looking incredible, showcasing a wonderful use of colour and texture.
