Year 1 brought incredible energy and enthusiasm to their ZING Athletics session. Students took part in a range of fun, fast‑paced activities designed to build coordination, teamwork, and confidence. From sprint challenges to movement games, they practised fundamental movement skills while cheering each other on and celebrating every effort.
The smiles, determination, and positive sportsmanship on display made the session a wonderful highlight of the week. We are so proud of our Year 1 students for giving their best and embracing the joy of being active together.

Year 10 enjoying their very first sport session at Ninja Parc - learning new skills and testing their limits, all whilst having a great time.

We would like to share and celebrate the success of our recent representative sport competitions, particularly the Basketball Competition and the Volleyball Gala Day.
Basketball was a great achievement for the College. Two out of our three teams progressed to the semi-finals, which is easily our strongest overall basketball performance to date. While both teams were narrowly defeated at the semi-final stage, this result places MCHF firmly in the Top 3 basketball schools across the Parramatta Diocese Sport Comp for both Intermediate and Senior divisions: an outstanding accomplishment and a testament to the dedication of our students and coaching staff, particularly Mr Mathew Gabrael and Mr Nicholas Jones.
The Volleyball Gala Day was a last minute addition due to the cancelled PDSSSC Comp.
This day was remarkably impressive, 5 teams proudly representing the College across 5 divisions. Our Inter Boys went undefeated throughout the pool rounds, narrowly missing a grand final berth and finishing third overall. The Senior Boys were also undefeated until the grand final, where they faced a strong St Gregory’s side—one they had defeated earlier in the competition. The Junior Boys showed tremendous resilience and skill, making it to the grand final and losing the deciding set by just two points. Their effort was nothing short of outstanding.
A special congratulations goes to our Junior Girls and Inter Girls. Both teams fought fiercely throughout the day to earn their place in the finals. The Junior Girls secured their semi-final win in straight sets, while the Inter Girls had to dig deep and take their match to a deciding final set. In the grand finals, both teams found another gear and emerged as champions, winning in straight sets against two very strong St Andrews teams.
A Special Thank you to Mr Julius, Miss Haddad, Mr Sedicol and Mr Khattar in coaching on the day and consistently throughout the year on recess, lunch and every 'cancelled' Thursday comp!
If this was the Olympics.... Medal tally so far this year:
These results highlight the strength of our sporting program and the commitment shown by our students, coaches, and staff. Thank you to everyone who contributed to these successes.
Mr J Gharrach, Leader of Sport K-12
