News from the Art Room

During Visual Arts, students have been busy creating beautiful poppies to commemorate ANZAC Day. Some of these are now part of a special community display at Stockland Wendouree. Students used a combination of colouring and textured collage techniques to carefully craft their poppies, showing great attention to detail and pride in their work.
This project provided a meaningful opportunity for students to reflect on the significance of poppies as a symbol of remembrance, while also contributing to a shared artwork beyond the classroom. It was wonderful to see their creativity, care, and respect shine through in each unique piece.
You may have already spotted the display while visiting the centre. If not, we encourage you to take a moment to stop by and enjoy the students’ work on show. We are incredibly proud of the way our students have represented our school with such thoughtfulness.
