Sports Report

NSWCPS & NSWCCC Swimming Championships

Well done to Mary Smith, Harriet Rogers, Charlotte Gould, Rosemary Davies, Harper Greentree, Abigail Snars, Zara Lampe and Stella Craig who attended the NSWCPS & NSWCCC Swimming Championships held at the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre at the end of last term.

The girls represented our diocese and school proudly as part of the Junior and Senior relay teams. Mary and Harriet also competed in the 50m freestyle events for the 8 years and 9 years girls heats respectively, while Harper took on the 11 years girls backstroke.

All students thoroughly enjoyed being part of the ACS swimming team and had a fantastic day overall.

CROSS COUNTRY

Students across all year groups approached our annual Cross Country with enthusiasm, giving their best effort and showing great perseverance as they tackled the course last week.

It was especially heartwarming to see the finish line lined with spectators and peers, cheering on our Kindergarten students as they completed their very first Cross Country race.

Congratulations to all of our place winners who received their ribbons, and to our 2026 Cross Country Age Champions:

ACS TOUCH FOOTBALL TRIALS

Gallery Image

Last Friday, Stella Craig and Harper Greentree represented our school at the ACS Touch Football Trials in Inverell. Both girls demonstrated excellent skill, teamwork and tenacity throughout the day, competing strongly against an impressive calibre of players. With approximately 50 girls trialling for just 10 positions, the level of competition was extremely high.

Well done to Stella who was selected to progress to the possibles and probables game but narrowly missed out on selection in the final team. Congratulations to both girls on their positive attitude, sportsmanship and commitment displayed on the day. We are extremely proud of them and the way they represented our school.

AFL, Rugby 7's Softball & Diving Nominations

As these sports historically have had limited nominations, Armidale Catholic Schools do not host trials for them.  All expressions of interest are gathered, and then information is directed to parents and schools when EOIs are completed.

Expressions of interest are now open for the following sports:

2026 Sport Nomination Form for Girls Rugby League, Golf, AFL, Rugby 7's, Softball and Diving.
