Principal's Report
Term 2, Week 2

Dear St FX Parents and Carers,
Newsletter Communication Changes
We are streamlining our newsletter to bring you more meaningful updates at the most important times of the term. By moving to a Week 1, Week 5, and End-of-Term schedule, we are ensuring high-quality editions that focus on essential dates, mid-term milestones, and celebrations of student achievement. This new schedule aligns with the natural flow of school life, ensuring you receive the most relevant information exactly when you need it.
Please note that Compass remains our primary platform for all daily and weekly updates; you should continue to check Compass for urgent alerts, event reminders, and essential school information to ensure you never miss a beat.
ANZAC Day March Participation
Thank you to all the students who represented us at the ANZAC Day services across the shire. We are always proud of our students, but this year demonstrated how wonderful our school truly is with such a huge representation of our school community. Thank you!
Uniforms
As we begin to encounter some cooler weather, students have the option of choosing to wear their winter uniform or summer uniform in the next few weeks. However, please ensure your child is dressed in either full winter or full summer uniform and not a combination of both. Full winter uniform includes wearing a long sleeved shirt with a tie at all times. From the commencement of winter (Monday 2 June), all students must be dressed in full winter uniform.
P&F Meeting - Term 2 Week 2
On Tuesday 28th April (today), we will be hosting our P &F meeting. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Enrolments 2027
Our 2027 Kindergarten enrolment processes are well underway and we already have strong interest for next year’s cohort. On Tuesday 12th May at 9.30am, we are hosting our information session in Room 2. This will include a tour of the Kindergarten classes. If you have a child commencing school next year, or know of someone who does, please ensure you have collected an enrolment pack from the front office or go to the online enrolments on the school website: https://sfxnarrabri.catholic.edu.au
Mother’s Day BBQ Breakfast
Our annual Mother's Day Breakfast will be held on Friday 8th May from 8.00am under the COLA. All mums, grandmas, aunties and special ladies in our lives are invited to join us for breakfast as a small way of saying thank you for all you do for us. A note has been sent home asking you to RSVP by this Friday for catering purposes.
*Just a heads up… when our Mother’s Day Breakfast is held, families should avoid parking along the school-side of Bowen Street, as this is a designated and signposted Bus Zone from 8:00 - 9:30am.
Cross Country
I want to extend a massive thank you to our incredible community of runners and families.
To our students: your grit, determination, and unwavering sportsmanship across the trail and through the mud puddles were very inspiring.
Congratulations to our winners and those who achieved personal bests. Your hard work and training clearly paid off. We look forward to seeing that same competitive fire at the Diocesan Carnival!
To our parents: thank you for the sideline cheers that kept our spirits high, and your constant support behind the scenes—we couldn't have done it without you!
And to our Staff: your contributions and assistance always make the day a resounding success, which provides lots of fun for our students. A special thank you to our parent helpers, Jess Craig, Janelle Nehrkorn, Rebecca Hogan, Lucy Suttor and Keith Flood for all your preparation and work behind the scenes.
Have a great week everyone.
May God bless you,
Mrs Michelle O’Connor
