Interschool Sport - Friday 30th May

This Friday, our gold teams went to Hazel Glen, and we had a great rally against their teams. The gold girl's football team won just by a smidge, scoring 41-42. Unfortunately, the boy’s football team were not so lucky, going down with a tough loss 41-123.  Our netball gold girls had a good win, 13-9. The gold mixed netball team fought hard but couldn’t get the win.

Meanwhile, at home, the blue teams went up against Mernda Hills. Our soccer teams had a loss. However, both teams are showing improvement each week. The girls’ blue netball team had a tough loss, going down 22-0, while the mixed blue team had a closer game, going down 4-2.  The blue boys' football team had no game due to Mernda Hills having no football team.

It was a bit wet this week, but we all had a great time participating in the sports we love. Can't wait to play next week! Go Whittlesea!

District Cross Country - Kilmore Race Club

On Wednesday, 28th May, 54 of our students represented Whittlesea Primary School at the District Cross Country at Kilmore Racetrack.

Although it was a very cold and occasionally rainy day, our students persevered, demonstrating great determination and resilience.

There were fantastic displays of sportsmanship and encouragement with our students cheering and supporting each other on in every race.

A special shout-out to Charlie Stewart, who gave up his position in the race to help one of his teammates finish after getting injured.

Congratulations to all 54 students who participated; you all did an amazing job!

Special congratulations to the following students who have qualified for our Division Cross Country next Wednesday, 4th June: Ava Argote, Tahlia Spiden, Emily Pratt, Ciera Rowe, Harvey Cummins, Tayze Lindsay, and Charlotte Susanof. Good Luck!
