Extra-Curricular at MAG

Welcome to Our New Music Staff
We are delighted to welcome two outstanding musicians and educators to the MAG Music Tutor Team in 2026.
Chris McDonald joins us as an additional piano, drums, and Saxophone Tutor. Chris began piano at age seven, completing AMEB Grade 5 Piano and Grade 4 Theory, later achieving Grade 7 Saxophone and VCE Solo Performance. A multi‑instrumentalist and experienced educator since 2005, he is also a composer and producer who creates original music and backing tracks. Chris performs locally as part of the acoustic act That Duo and contributes regularly to community theatre as a pit musician and musical director for EMTC. We are thrilled to have his breadth of experience enriching our program.
