Primary School

It was wonderful to connect with so many of our families during this week’s Parent Teacher Interviews. These sessions are an important part of our partnership with parents and carers, providing a dedicated time to discuss student learning, celebrate achievements and set future goals together. They also give our teachers valuable insights into the learners they support each day.
As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, we welcome feedback from families about how we can enhance the interview experience in future. If you have any suggestions, please don’t hesitate to contact the Primary School Office at psreception@moamagrammar.nsw.edu.au.
Family Life Education Program Years 4-6
I would like to thank Kelly Nash and Cath McCallig from Sex Ed 4 Schools for working collaboratively with our students in Years 4–6 this week. As part of the PDHPE and Pastoral Care programs, Kelly and Cath delivered engaging lessons and provided lots of new information on various topics.
“In Year 4, our Family Life classes with Cathy and Kelly were amazing. We learned about privacy and how our bodies work. We also played some fun games, including one that showed how we are all different. We shared things like how many brothers or sisters we have and how many pets we have, which helped us get to know each other better. It was an enjoyable and interesting experience. I think it is a great opportunity to learn important things, have fun, and understand how your body grows and works.”

“We were very lucky to have Kelly and Cath visit our school to work with us and explain some changes that we may be facing in the upcoming years. They ran classroom sessions in the Years 4 to 6 classrooms. They taught us more about our bodies, the challenges and changes we may face as we grow. This helped us have a better understanding of our own and other people's bodies. They answered our questions and provided us with engaging activities that helped us unpack the topics we were discussing. They encouraged us to feel confident when facing these challenges, and to know what to do to support ourselves at this stage of our lives.”

‘Be Rare, Be You’ Fundraiser
I would like to extend my sincere thanks to our school community for your wonderful support of the ‘Be Rare, Be You’ fundraiser held on Friday 27 February. Together, we raised $1,070.20, which will be donated to the Fabry Foundation to assist in raising awareness, supporting research and improving outcomes for individuals and families affected by Fabry disease.
It was heart‑warming to see students and staff embracing the spirit of the day, not only by participating but by showing genuine interest in understanding the importance of recognising and supporting those with rare conditions. Events like this highlight the compassion and generosity of our Moama Anglican Grammar community. Thank you once again for your kindness and for helping us make a meaningful difference.
Kindergarten Hearing Screeners
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Audiologist Johanna Nesbitt for conducting the Kindergarten hearing screeners this week. Across two days, Johanna assessed 44 students, offering valuable insights that will help support our students as they begin their first year of school. We are grateful for Johanna’s continued partnership with our school community. A warm thank you also goes to our families for supporting this initiative. Your participation helps ensure the very best start for our 2026 Kindergarten students.
Spotlight on Early Stage 1
Our Kindergarten students have had a very busy and exciting few weeks! They have been learning lots of new skills, including learning to count in Italian, and are becoming more confident in their daily routines. They also enjoyed their first buddy session with their Year 5 buddies. The students have been enthusiastically practising their songs for their big performance at our Primary School Assembly in Week 7 on Friday, 13 March.
We have loved celebrating the achievements of our Kindergarten Superstars, with several students receiving awards this week at our ES1 Stage assembly. It has been wonderful to see how much they are growing in confidence each day.
Stage 1 Assembly
This week, students in Stage 1 attended their first Stage Assembly. It was a short and sharp assembly with lots of excitement and laughs. Students in Year 1A hosted the event, and Archie Blight read the ‘Acknowledgement of Country’ beautifully, while Dax Cummins led the class in their song about nouns. The students also presented their nouns poster, which included a person, place and thing.
New students to the school were warmly welcomed, and we sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to both Sydney Diss and Patrick Vick. At the end, the ‘Stars of the Week’ awards were presented to the worthy recipients.

Volunteer Inductions
At Moama Anglican Grammar, we deeply value the contribution our volunteers make in supporting students and strengthening our school community. Parents, carers, guardians, and community members are all welcome to become registered volunteers and be involved in the wide range of activities and programs offered across the school.
If you would like to join our volunteer team, the process is simple. To become a registered volunteer, you will need to complete both the Volunteer Induction and the Volunteer Agreement. We have recently updated this process, and families can now complete these steps online, making it easier and more accessible.
To get started, please contact the Primary Office by emailing psreception@moamagrammar.nsw.edu.au or calling 03 5480 5950. Our staff will provide you with the link and instructions to complete the online induction and agreement.
Message from the Office
During pick‑up times, we kindly ask parents to use the designated car parks around the school to ensure everyone can access the campus safely. We continue to receive reports of parents parking across the road on Kirchhofer Street and walking between buses, which significantly reduces visibility and increases the risk when crossing back to vehicles. We sincerely appreciate your support in helping keep our students and community safe.
