The Voyage:
Celebrating Checkpoint 2 with Families
We were delighted to celebrate the start of the Voyageprogram with Year 9s and their families here at Endeavour last week.
Voyageis unique to the Year 9 Health and Physical Education curriculum and is a program that is designed to support students in their transition from adolescence to adulthood.
It aims to provide opportunities for our students to develop important life skills, emotional resilience, and self-awareness. Throughout the program, students explore their identity, relationships, and personal responsibilities.
The Voyageencourages students to take on challenges, set meaningful goals, and build respectful connections with others. By fostering confidence and resilience, the program helps them to navigate the complexities of growing up and prepares them for the opportunities and challenges ahead.
It is crucial for families and schools to work together to support students, particularly at this age. This partnership helps ensure that students receive the guidance and resources they need both at home and at school.
There was a powerful sense of community at this event, and it was wonderful to see that our students are valued, supported and cherished by their families and their Voyage teachers.
What a great start to the Year for Year 9!

Student Exchange:
Introducing Sarah Niederbuchner
My name is Sarah Niederbuchner, and I am a 15 year old student from Germany.
Right now, I am spending ten weeks in Australia as an exchange student. I am excited to see as much of the country as possible and try many new things during my stay. The weather here is very different from home. In Australia it is summer and very hot, while in Germany it is around negative two degrees and snowy.
At home, I live in Truchtlaching, a small village near the Chiemsee, together with my parents, my grandparents, and my little brother.
We also have a cat named Loki. I am in the tenth grade at the Annette-Kolb-Gymnasium in Traunstein.
In my free time, I enjoy crocheting, swimming, climbing and during winter I also enjoy skiing, and ice skating.
I am excited to discover new places and meet new people, and I hope my time in Australia will give me many great memories.
