Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome back to Semester Two! I hope that the school holidays provided your family with time to rest, recharge, and enjoy some quality time together. We are excited to begin the second half of the school year with renewed energy and a continued commitment to learning, faith and community.
As a Catholic school in the Archdiocese of Melbourne, we remain grounded in Gospel values, and we are blessed to walk alongside your children as they grow spiritually, academically and socially. Semester Two promises to be a busy and enriching time, filled with learning experiences, celebrations, and opportunities to strengthen our connection as a faith-filled community.
Already this term, students have returned with enthusiasm and a readiness to engage in their learning. Our dedicated staff have been busy planning meaningful learning opportunities across all year levels and specialist areas. We look forward to key events this term, especially our 2025 School Production: "Madagascar."
Thank you for your continued support of our school. Together, we can ensure a safe, nurturing and high-quality Catholic education for every child in our care. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if there is anything we can do to support you or your child in the term ahead.
Wishing you all a positive and rewarding start to Semester Two.
I’m pleased to share that our school uniform is available in-store at Lowes Lilydale. I am hopeful that being available on-line and in-store seven days a week will be appreciated by the school community.
Please note:
All pre-paid back orders will continue to be fulfilled and delivered to the school by AGS. Below Contact details for Pre paid back orders

Lowes has already placed orders for a full 12 months of stock, expected to arrive in October. Until then, there may be limited availability on certain items due to the initial low stock received from AGS.

Upper Yarra RSL are hosting Vietnam Veterans Day this year, and they would like to extend an invitation to our school community to attend and participate in the March & Service.
The March will be forming at The Professionals in Main Street Yarra Junction at 10.15, and stepping off at 10.30 to march to the Cenotaph. The service will start at 11am, followed by refreshments at Upper Yarra RSL.
Schools are invited to march behind their banner.
St Joseph's students have been invited to lead the singing of Advance Australia Fair. If your child would like to participate, they can let Lisa Bourke (Performing Arts) know.
Between 1 and 19 September, Staff, Parents and Children will have an opportunity to participate in the Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools School Improvement Surveys. The information collected will form a valuable data set that we will be referring to in preparation for our School Improvement Review that we will be undertaking in 2026. I would ask as many parents as possible to take the time to fill in the survey, as the more respondents we have, the more informative and representative the data will be.
More information will be sent to you closer to the time, including a link to the survey.
School photos have just arrived. Once we have them all sorted, they will be sent home. Keep an eye out for them early next week.
I hope you are able to stay warm and dry this very wet and chilly weekend.
Kind regards,
Nick.
